Operate blending machines to blend and mix ingredients into compounds.
*Additional $1.
50 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6PM-6AM.
*Must be flexible for overtime and weekend work.
Operate machine until mixture is blended and unloads mixtures unto appropriate container.
Perform proper changeover Coordinates and communicate positions with railcar engineer during switches.
Properly hook up hoses to appropriately transfer materials to bins per production schedule.
Monitor transfer rates and pressure to ensure product flow.
Ensure proper disconnect of hoses, valves for car Follow procedure for receiving rail cars.
(Check seals, read BOL) Collect or prepare measurement, weight , or identification for the purpose of building ingredient requirements to meet work order instructions Ability to read and interrupt process order work instructions Communicate effectively both written and orally when requesting materials from shipping Collect product samples and prepare them for laboratory analysis or testing Operate for accurate weighing of materials Ability to assist in root cause analysis when deviations, consumer complaints or out of specifications situations arise Keep lead and Team Lead informed about problems, potential issues and status of work in progress, including any supply shortages.
Assist in training new employees when needed.
Document production attributes relevant for batch requirements Must be familiar with RF handheld applications to execute logistic movements and material inquiries Enter batch confirmation into SAP to confirm the delivery of goods Keep work area safe, sanitary and orderly.
Keep work area organized and cleaned : 5S( Sort- Straighten – Sanitize- Standardize- Sustain) Support RunRight initiatives Make suggestions to improve processes, procedures Take initiatives to reduce waste Other tasks as assigned Safety: Follow appropriate safety procedures and good manufacturing practices at all times.
Use proper PPE, Follow documented Lock Out Tag Out, Fall protection, Bloodborne Pathogens procedures- complete/maintain required training Experience: Six months in a similar working environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Basic understanding of electrical disconnects and machine controls.
