Key Duties and Responsibilities
Instill Safety as a top priority.
Working with pipe crews installing sanitary, storm, and water utilities.
Measuring and cutting pipe sections.
Communicate with the pipe layer to obtain grade shots using a transit.
Quantity tracking.
Communicate with loader and backhoe operators.
Stage materials and rigging pipe to be installed.
Operating a jumping jack or remote-controlled compactor.
Pothole underground utilities.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledgeable in OSHA standards for excavations.
Understand slopes, cuts, and different soil types.
Experience using chop saws and other misc.
tools.
Communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Time Management and organizational skills.
Working Conditions
Travel – This project is located in Midwest Region.
Subsequent projects will be nationally based.
Schedule – Work assignment will be weekdays from 7:00am through 3:00pm, with the occasional need to work overtime.
Construction Site Environment – physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb.
Lifting and carrying material and objects.
Exposed to high noise levels.
