JOB DESCRIPTION: Position Title Specialist 1, Quality Technician Reports to Quality Manager and Production Manager Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Daily process audits.
Random valve retests.
Track with Gage Track all devices for calibration.
Perform internal calibrations and send items offsite for calibrations as needed.
Assist with the Test Rack repairs as needed.
Perform failure analysis on all returned material, both OEM and Repair, with assistance from Quality Manager.
Assist with the training Repair Technicians I, II, III.
Assist with maintaining training records for all persons in respective production cell areas.
Have working knowledge of the NYAB IPM as well as Section J – AAR M1003.
Work with Quality Manager as well as shop floor to maintain accurate and up-to-date documents and assist with Document Control Log.
Staying observant at all times with respect to shop floor activities, notifying personnel, supervisors, management (both Plant and Quality) concerning any questionable practices or activities.
Assist with ensuring that all written work processes are followed.
Maintain a practical quality focus on all related issues.
Assist with and support all quality initiative activities.
Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.
Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.
Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.
Skills and Competencies Technical Capacity Demonstrate proactive and creative thinking.
Knowledge of generally accepted best practices and theory.
Working knowledge of requirements for calibration, training records and document control.
Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic failure analysis for quality issues and test equipment.
Basic computer skills Ability to read technical drawings and interpret with little support.
Basic knowledge of quantitative methods/statistical procedures and graphic skills.
Communication Proficiency Organization Skills Time Management Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment: The employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, i.
e.
noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt etc.
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms.
