We have an immediate opening for an energetic and results-driven Customer Demonstration Application Specialist.
This position will support the sales team by creating a superior in-house demo experience for customers.
Must be able to create a top tier culinary experience while working with industrial, high-output equipment.
Interpersonal skills are also a top priority as this position requires interaction with customers and sales team members at all points during the selling process.
The goal is to become a trusted advisor to the Marlen customers and sales team.
The Application Specialist will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day organization and sanitization of the solution center and accompanying storage areas.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Use Industrial equipment to duplicate or create novel customer products at our in-house testing facility.
Plan in-house demos with customer and sales team.
Ship and receive customer products.
Document testing procedures.
Use data probes to collect data and validate cook/chill processes.
Create post testing video and written reports.
Help clean and maintain equipment and facilities of the testing center.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of equivalent experience Customer facing and selling skills/sales experience.
Worked with industrial equipment or manufacturing.
Good presentation and interpersonal skills.
Excellent technical writing skills.
Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products.
Lift heavy object (up to 50lbs) Up to 10% travel DESIRED EXPERIENCE: Worked in and familiar with USDA facilities and/or commercial kitchens.
Past R&D experience in food products.
Customer service experience with capital equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate.
The employee is frequently required to stand and sit.
The employee occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
The work environment includes a combination of office and manufacturing.
The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
Travel in a car or plane is occasionally required.
