Salary Range: $19.
27-$29.

Normal Work Days/Hours: Sunday-Tuesday and Friday and Saturday 3:30 p.

to 12:00 a.
m.
and 11:30 a.
m.
to 8:00 p.
m.

Responsibilities
Receiving and recording telephone messages and complaints directed to a department of the municipal government as well as receiving and dispatching messages, personnel, maintenance crews, and equipment over a radio communication system on an assigned shift.
Participating in the prompt, efficient dispatch of messages, personnel, and equipment in response to complaints, or emergency, routine service, and related requests.
Work requires considerable application of personal initiative and independent judgment and affords considerable latitude for flexibility in methods used, subject only to restrictions as set down by city policies.
Exercises considerable independent judgement while following preset standard operating procedures for some core functions of the job.
Qualifications
REQUIRES high school graduation and 1 year experience in processing and receiving calls in a public or private customer service environment.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen as prescribed by the City.

Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.

For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions.
Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.
If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
